Kathleen DeBlasio has been a fine artist and muralist for over 30 years. She taught oil painting for 25 years at the duCret School of Art. She also set up the retail store for the school.
Kathleen and her husband Clarke raised their two daughters in the wonderful community of Califon, New Jersey. She is thrilled to open her own frame shop on Main Street after years of doing murals and paintings in the area.
Califon is a borough in Hunterdon County, in the New York metro area.
The community was named for the state of California, in honor of a resident who had returned from the gold rush.
The Califon Historical Society registered 170 structures with the national Register of Historic Places. A charming Victorian Village, the houses are marked with the names of the builders and their dates of establishment rather than with street numbers. The Main Street Frame Shop was built in 1908 as the Califon National Bank Building.
